Thank you all for your kind words. I have wrote this post a 100 times in my mind since August. We all feel the pressure, whether we have lost a love one or not.

Hang in there. It's all relative. Keep the faith...it will prevail. It has to. Thank you again.

What a post to come back with Saundra - absolutely wonderful! So practical, yet a good reminder for all of us. I couldn't agree more about surrounding yourself with sincere people. I too followed your updates on Twitter regarding your dad's illness and send you and your family my condolences.

Dear Saundra,

from following you on twitter I knew what you were going though with your father, I am sure each day is still hard and the pain is very deep. I am so sorry. I lost my mother to cancer two years ago and today saw her oncologist talking about breast cancer on national show (as it is breast cancer month) on the TV whilst shopping for a new TV set at the store. I was transfixed...

In truth, I have been going through a hard patch. weddings have been canceled, or postponed to 2010 (and clients being unable to meet their scheduled payments), I do flowers as well and the most disheartening reply I got a few times now is how "we chose not to use flowers at our wedding". Basically, recession is horrible.
I spent a few weeks in a daze, totally unmotivated and ready to throw in a towel, call it quits... I failed, I couldn't make it work (the usual self pity non-sense).

It is so important to keep positive, and yes it is hard! You are so right about the right ind of people... my wedding planner friends, and most importantly my husband and my beautiful children! There are dark days, but there is a lot of good too!

We need to get through this dark hour, for very soon we will all be planning celebrations!

THANK YOU!

Sending you a great big hug. It's so hard to lose someone you love, but I have a feeling the best of your Dad lives in you.

Great list. People always happiness happens. Actually, you gotta plan to be happy, I think. Feed your dreams so they stay alive. Every night I spend time 'shopping' for that little Savannah property where my office will overlook the water and I'll sip martinis on the porch with my hubby. That's worth working hard for.

I've been on a news diet so long and haven't suffered. If its big news someone will tell you whether you want to know or not. Everything else is just fear-mongering. Fear sells just as well, if not better, than sex. What I think about I bring about so, no news.

What keeps me going is remembering that every field must be fallow sometime if it's gonna reap something nourishing. You just can't have highs if there aren't any lows. There's something to learn in each. Sounds preachy, but I swear by it.

I'll tweet you soon.

I agree align yourself with the right people, the people around you will only help make u stronger or weaker. ... If I had no financial worry what would my potential be... I think that creatively I can go really far.

Hey Saundra,

Let me first start with my condolences. I was not aware of it. I am so sorry for your lost. My prayers continue to be with you and your family. Secondly, Thank you for this post of encouragement. It has come right on time.

So sorry to hear of your fathers passing. It is such a hard thing to deal with loss especially to a disease which is as cruel as Cancer can be to those we love.

It is wonderful that you are here to remind us that though the news and times are tough we can pull through so long as we are strong together... and show each other just how much we all have to live for.

Be well, Be Happy Practice Random Acts of Kindness!
